[Chuuya is out there leaning on the balcony and looking up at the sky. In his hands he has a hat, which doesn't look nearly as new and fancy as any of the clothes he had gotten in this place.
When Akira speaks up, Chuuya glances over at him. Ah, there's that familiar face.]
It's about time you made it back.
[There's no bite to his words today, though. It seems like there's a lot on his mind.]
[smiles a bit when he sees his roommate staring up at the sky-- good, he can see again-- before he dips his hands into his pockets and rests his back against the door]
I was enjoying my first cup of coffee since Sunday.

That stuff still tastes terrible to me. Too bitter.

At the eyesight comment though, he pauses and glances back up at the sky.]

[Akira pushes away from the door and approaches the railing, leaning his arms-- crossed over one another-- against same as he glances at Chuuya's had. Rimbaud, huh. . . it's not a name that piques anything familiar]
It did, but it does make me worry about what might happen on Monday.
I don't think they'll go for sense-loss twice in a row. But you're right, they're up to something.

When you join the mafia, the person who got you in is supposed to give you something of theirs. It's like...symbolic, or something? And that person is supposed to look after you when you're new and make sure you don't mess up.
This is what I got. Not sure if I should wear it or not. The guy's dead, so it's not like I can just ask him what to do.

[Hilariously he wasn't even mafia yet when he did that. But he's not explaining that, especially not with that sudden change in conversation.

I didn't kill him for no reason, just like I didn't join the mafia for no reason. I don't really like the idea of smuggling stuff or killing people or whatever, I don't go out of my way to do that stuff. But the world's not fair, and if you don't protect yourself then you'll end up getting taken advantage of.

[Good. If Akira understands, then Chuuya won't have to explain further. Plus given Akira's earlier reluctance to even admit to being a nasty crimeboy, Chuuya gets the feeling that anything about Akira's past will have to come out on Akira's terms.
Which is fine. Akira is interesting enough for Chuuya to be patient.]
Right? I can make anything look good, but this hat is actually pretty nice.
