[Akira is starting to suspect that his roommate is full of Sad Story Time. but there's a time and a place to ask about it, and maybe that isn't now]

Chips are perfect. [THUMBS UP] Other things like popcorn and sodas work, too. Anything that's easy to eat with your hands.

Well I'll see what I can scrounge up, then.

[He'll leave Akira to finish the fort, he's gonna go raid the kitchen. Like fifteen minutes later he's back with a couple bags of chips, some sodas, and a few apples.]

You're not gonna believe how stacked that kitchen is.

[by the time he returns, the fort looks AMAZING. Akira has managed to set it up where there's a small flap for the entrance, and the inside is lined with extra blankets and pillows from the bed. SUPER NICE]

[he perks up when he sees the snacks and immediately reaches out to take some from Chuuya]

Perfect.

Was there a coffee maker down there? Did you see?

[because he's gonna steal it]

I think so? I didn't really look, I don't drink coffee.

[He has no idea what box he has opened.

But snacks are offered, and Chuuya will sit down on the floor by the entrance to the tent so he can eat some too.]

Ah. We'll work on changing that.

[anyway nts get the coffee maker later. for now, Akira crouches onto his knees and crawls through the tent gap into the pillow forth. it's a little dim but they can still see thanks to the light of the room seeping through]

I don't need coffee, I'm not an adult. I still have plenty of energy, even when I wake up.

[He's not bouncing off the walls or anything, but he's pretty light on his feet and there's no sense of tiredness in his movements.

And Chuuya doesn't recognize this feeling, other than 'this feels silly.']

A little bit about where you're from, if that's okay.

I've been running into people who remember different months and years than I do.

Yeah? Well it's summer, and I'm from Yokohama.

[He doesn't pay attention to specific dates, so he doesn't have that much information.]

Why would it be different?

I don't know. But I remember it being March 20, 2017.

Someone else remembered the year 2049. Someone else thought it was September. So--

That's ridiculous. We can't all be from different years and different times like that. Timezones don't even begin to explain it all.

Anyway, the point is, don't you think it's strange that so many people were brought here from "different worlds?"

If that's what it is, then of course it's strange! I've heard of a lot of abilities before, but never something like that.

Think about all of the resources that have to go into a mass kidnapping like that.

And we haven't even been told why we were kidnapped. There's got to be a reason it was all of us, right?

I've heard a few theories, but nothing concrete. I think it's mostly people hypothesizing with no real evidence either way.
