Week 2, post-trial

[After the trial, Chuuya will nudge Dazai to follow after him. Time to go on a walk near the woods! This time he'll take Dazai over by the gardens.]

You heard what Phoenix said, right? About getting double rewards if you do a task with a teammate?

[ A garden walk so romantic.

Putting his hands in his pockets as he walks along beside him. ]

I have~ I didn't get any double rewards yet. Did you?

Me neither, and I think we can use that to out advantage. C'mon.

[I forgot to mention it before, but he has his notebook with him. So once they find a secluded spot in the garden, he'll pull up his notebook and start writing in it.]

Since none of our tickets were doubled, we can safely say those people aren't on our individual teams. Look:

I haven't gotten the results for this third week yet, but the others I know aren't on my team. And if we look at that list compared to yours, we might be able to figure out what team some of them are on.

[ Time to sit down and get cozy. This is exactly why he doesn't mind trying to keep Chuuya at his side... he can be really clever. His eyes are scanning the page as he watches Chuuya write it down. He'll hold his hand out to take his pen to add his own list next to Chuuya's. ]

I think it's best if we focus our efforts on people who will actually be useful in the long run too. Like, no offense to 3PO, but he's...

[You know. Kind of dumb.]

So I'll try with Damian and Lili. I'll go for a third that neither of us have done yet too on top of that. Maybe Magnus? He's speaking up a lot at trials and such.

He's very literal and doesn't understand nuance, but he's harmless.

[ Unless he's secretly a murder droid. ]

Magnus seems rather pushy, but he backed away this trial.

[ He's going to reach around Chuuya to pick a flower though. ]

It might be harder to figure out who gave you the extra ticket if you do all new people. I might do Damian again, and if we have a fourth task I'll aim for someone different... maybe the weird detective guy.

Mmm, that's true. I'll try just two new people then, and a third that I already know the role of.

[Since he knows a couple people already. Also he sees that flower, and he's watching it curiously.]

We need more data points though. I was thinking on bringing Akira in on it. With more people to work off of, we can get answers more quickly. What do you think?

[ He's slowly spinning it between his two fingers as he listens. ]

Yeah, we can do that. We also might want to talk to him about getting you off of a certain team if there really is a target being painted on them.

[ Their numbers did take a hit each week. ]

Yeah, no kidding. I don't know how my team keeps losing people, but it might be a curse at this point.

[They'll have to wait and see after the execution tomorrow.]

[ Just going to lean in to plant a kiss against his cheek, while also tucking that flower behind Chuuya's ear. Fingers brushing against his lobe before he leans back to see his handy work. ]

You do need to live until the end, Chuuya.

[ If they both live, they can bring six people back between them if it winds up coming down to that. ]

[Wow, gay. Chuuya barely notices the flower ending up there, he's distracted by the kiss.]

Yeah, no kidding.

[He had planned on saying more, but. Yeah.

Dazai only gets to look at his handiwork for a moment before Chuuya's leaning in to steal a kiss from Dazai.]

[ He's more okay with this new topic of conversation. Tilting his head to better fit against him as he continues the kiss. Grabbing on to his shirt to keep him there longer. ]

[Calling it a conversation is being very generous, Dazai. That said, he does stay put, his hand cupping Dazai's cheek to hold him there as they kiss long and slow. And when Chuuya pulls away to breathe, he stays close, his warm breath falling onto Dazai's lips.]

You are way too distracting, you know that?

[He was trying to get work done here!]

[ It's not every day that Chuuya instigates the kissing. Usually Dazai has to bait him into it or get more affectionate before Chuuya does it. Letting go his shirt to rest the palm of his hand against Chuuya's chest right over his heart. His lashes lower as he glances downwards for a moment. ]

It's a good thing I like distracting Chuuya then.

[ His voice comes out as a murmur. Closing the space to kiss his lower lip. ]

But we have work to do.

[His words also come out as a murmur, and he doesn't sound particularly insistent on actually getting work done at the moment. And when Dazai kisses his lower lip, his eyes slide shut and he'll make that a full kiss once more.

They might be here for a while tbh. Work's on pause, gotta smooch.]

[ He'll hum into the kiss, but it doesn't sound like an agreeing or disagreeing tone. They can work after a good smooch session. They did need to make up for nearly dying and going through all of that shit now that they could be alone for a while.

Once they need to breathe again, he's pressing his forehead against Chuuya's to stay in close. ]

[There's still stuff to plan for too, like seeing if Dazai would be willing to reveal what team he's on to Akira. But smooches are distracting, and they did live through something traumatic, so.

He'll tug Dazai to lean against him while they catch their breath. Pressed close like this, it's fine. Chuuya is even going to use Dazai's own tactic against him and run a hand through his hair.]

[ He'll follow that tug and get as comfortable as he can leaning against him.

There is a sharp inhale as he feels those fingers through his own hair. He's now understanding why Chuuya likes it so much. Curling in closer to him as he let's out a content little sigh. ]

If you keep that up, I might fall asleep.

[ Draping an arm across him. ]

I've told you the same before, you know.

[That hand is not leaving Dazai's hair, though. Time to relax, Dazai, you need it. Maybe those fingertips can massage him into a nap. Chuuya is definitely leaning back so they can lay down in the garden for a bit, Dazai draped over Chuuya.]

[ As soon as Chuuya is laying down, he's going to scoot himself further on the other. He doesn't want to lay on his shoulders and regret it when he wakes up. ]

You usually kiss me instead.

[ It comes out more of a mumble. Yeah, he'll probably drift away like this. Nap and then they can talk more ]

Well yeah, kissing you is really fun.

[His honesty peeks through as he works little circles into Dazai's scalp.]

But we just made out and we need to breathe now.

[shortfornow]

[ Humming an affirmative. He's tucking his head against Chuuya's neck. Chuuya wants to feel his warm breath across his skin, right? ]

Breathing is such a pain. Maybe we should work on how to breathe while kissing.

[ Or holding their breaths longer. ]

[shortforever]

[He sure feels it! And it makes his breath catch for a moment.]

We could take turns?

[It makes more sense in his head, okay?]

Like...you can kiss places other than the mouth, like the forehead or cheek or something. So we could take turns kissing different places, so we can breathe and kiss at the same time.

[Or they could figure out how to breathe through their noses like a normal person would.]

[ Taking turns... you're ridiculous, Chuuya. ]

Kissing other places, hmm?

[ He can probably feel that Cheshire grin just before Dazai kisses the side of his neck. It's a soft, quick little kiss because he is le tired and getting sleepier. ]

[He can't even be mad, because he did just say to do that.]

I guess like that, yeah.

[His interest is piqued in new kinds of kisses though. Something to discover another time, when they're not tired.]
